  • 20-year-old female, history of previous surgery for CA Sigmoid Colon in 2022. Complaining of abdominal pain and distention.
  • CT scan shows dilated bowel loops in the abdomen predominantly in the left lower quadrant. A fibrinous capsule is noted surrounding a bunch of small bowel loops representing abdominal cocoon.
  • The proximal small bowel loops are dilated, and distal loops are collapsed.
  • Some pelvic small bowel loops are also dilated, due to adhesions.
